Halo 2 Survival Guide

Quoted from Relevant Magazine Jan/Feb 2005 Page 11

"If you're a hardcore Halo fanatic, you've already picked up Halo 2, mastered the Banshee hijack, played Neutral Assault in Coagulation Canyon and are wondering how you ever got along without dual-wielding weapons. So rather than tell you what you already know, we're here to provide a helpful checklist of things you may have forgotten since you entrenched yourself in the Halo hole.
>>Eating and sleeping are natural ways for your real-world body to recuperate, and should not be resisted.
>>The three R's are Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Not Retrieve, Reload, and Return fire.
>>See that thing to the left of your TV screen? That's called a window. A little sunlight is good for you.
>>Never tell someone that you can't go out on a date because you have a Halo 2 party to attend. Instead, tell that person how you really feel by inviting them to join your clan.
>>Frito-Lay products are not acceptable meal substitutes.
>>Dreaming about Halo 2 is not natural. Don't argue."

So if you are not a Halo 2 player, which means you are probably a girl reading this, then share this with your significant other, who probably is.

Also, check out the Relevant Magazine website. It is pretty cool. If you like it, then buy a subscription.

But every true Halo 2 fan knows the story behind it... right?
    RIGHT?

It's over now, but you can't really experience halo 2 unless you've learned the story before it... and played the game before it (and I don't mean Halo 1!)

If you have a ton of free time, why not check out www.ilovebees.com, www.ilovebees.blogspot.com, or do a google search on ilovebees.

its a big story to get (a few hours of audio, really), but its worth it to be a TRUE Halo 2 fanatic....

i would like to protest to the "girl" comment. i am a HUGE halo fan! though some may struggle to believe me, i truly understand the excitement and my husband's passion for the game. "game" isn't even a word that does it justice. and i know because i spent months addicted to halo 1. so i understand the part about "there's a window beside your tv, get some sunlight". it got to the unhealthy level of my hearing hunters at work on our roof. and i did have a dream or two i'm afraid. hunters again. stu could explain the significance of the hunters. i will confess that halo 1 is still so fresh for me, that the adjustment to halo 2 has been gradual. i've only made it through the intro in campaign, and i'm constantly slaughtered in multiplayer. anyways, you need to have another halo party jason. because that was so fun the last time i was there. any other wives with me on this???

i'm down with shauna...don't think it's a gender thing. everything in moderation i suppose. i laughed out load with the 3R's by the way..although my life seems to reciprocate between those two categories of "R's"...just depends where i am... anyhoo..interesting comments. funny how "violence" has become entertainment more and more these days. anybody watch the TV show "24"....it's like a tv show on terrorist efforts here in the US and man..it's weird...it's like this stuff is actually happening and we've become desensitized to it b/c it's "just like tv". weird. just makes you think. i go back to everything in moderation...but man...there are some troubling things in the world.

What a freakin' post! I'm jealous!

And i'd love to do a Live - Fayetteville vs. Rock party one night. I'm in the mood to be handled. (I've played against Steger and got dismantled.)

Grant, a LR / NWA match would be most incredible! I know a bunch of the Grovites are part of "The Community" clan on Halo 2. If you're in the mood, we try to play every Tuesday night between 9:00 and 11:30 PM. Turnout varies, but it's still a good time.

We need to get that North / South match going!
