Choco-holics

"Hi, my name is Cindy, and this is my husband Jason, and we are choc-oholics."
There's no hiding the fact that Jason & I are lovers of chocolate. We are always searching for new recipes that involve the best ingredient in the world. We recently made this Chocolate Pie that we found on The Pioneer Woman's website. This lady has some GREAT recipes & very easy to follow instructions, along with pictures that will make you start salivating for whatever she is making. We couldn't resist trying out her chocolate pie- it is divine. We feel cool now that we know how to do the chocolate curly things to adorn the top of the pie. If any fellow chocoholics want to share their favorite forms of chocolate, then by all means, spread the love! I am convinced that the world would be a much better place if everyone had a piece of chocolate and a backrub every day.

that looks SUPER yummy. On our recent cruise, there was a dessert called "chocolate melting cake." It really wasn't a cake at all, rather it was served in small rammicans (sp?), where the top is hard like a brownie, and the inside is melted fudge chocolate. It's served piping hot, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. It's TO DIE FOR. I had found the recipe a couple of months ago on line... I might dig it up and post it on my blog for you. Also, you should try the "better than sex" cake that Katie Allen makes.... it's superb!

if we lived closer, we would join your choco-holics anonymous meetings and we could all talk about how we are not breaking the addiction (and then eat some chocolate pie or other chocolate something). that pie looks delicious and so artistic - the curly things are cool. do you make your own pie crusts? i want to learn how to do that - it's seems that it's becoming a lost art these days and what a sad loss that is. a good homemade flaky, golden brown pie crust is worth the extra effort in my humble (pie) opinion. love you all. give oaklee a kiss for us. c&e

Clay, do you have a good recipe for a homemade pie crust, maybe one of Mrs. Holley's old ones?

I made your waffles the other day and they were mighty good. Cindy likes them with Choco-chips. We hope all is well and hope we can come out soon (maybe this summer?)
    Love yall.
