Day in Pictures

Above are a few pictures from my trip to the deer lease in Umpire, AR yesterday morning. There were spider webs EVERYWHERE! The one above was from a web that was completely across the road. I actually managed to get around it. The deer was at our campsite. I will try to get more pics tomorrow am of Harris Creek and the waterfall.

Happy Birthday Parker

Parker, we love you. We wish you a Happy Birthday and a fun time in Colorado. Be good for mom and dad on the ride over there. Can't wait to see you again.

May God bless you this day and grow you into a young man after his own heart just as David was a man after God's own heart.

Summertime

This picture pretty well defines my thoughts on summertime. As it is has officially come to an end, I have spent more time on the lake this summer than any before. Thanks to Ryan and Rachel (Ryan is driving the boat, Luke Baker is the wake boarder). I look forward to next summer. But the wake surfing and wake boarding will go on until Ryan winterizes the boat.

Need tickets for this Saturday

No not me, but one of my friends from DeQueen, Chad, is willing to take some guys who have NEVER been to a Razorbacks game before to the game. One is a Baylor grad, one whose parents are diehard Aggies, and a couple who are from DeQueen who have just never
had the opportunity. So, if you are fed up with the Hogs and need a weekend off, help make this weekend special for a few guys and possibly turn them into lifelong Razorback fans.

Away with the elephant

Well, Arkansas just lost another game in the 4th Quarter. Callers will be calling for Nutt to be fired starting this week. I am not a hater, but our play calling is so vanilla.

Week is up, so the Alabama Elephant is gone! Alabama is looking like they could get beat at Tuscaloosa. Maybe Saben isn't the savior after all?

Arkansas vs Kentucky 50 yd line for sale

Cindy's parents have one 50 yard line ticket for sale on the east side. If you are interested, call me or reply to the blog.

Only 2 more days and this stinking elephant comes down.

Grant, this ones for you

So I made a bet with Grant about the game. If the hogs win, he posts the "bush hog" on his blog and if Bama wins, I post the elephant on my sidebar for a week. As you can see to the left, I have obliged. I am appreciative that it is the smaller version.

I walked away from the game feeling pretty good. I believe that we should have won. I would play Bama again next week if given the opportunity (not I, but the Hogs of course). I give Bama credit for making fewer mistakes and playing hard nose football. They are a good team, but not a great team. Not yet. They will be. I am just glad Prothro is still not playing. I feel for that guy, because he was amazing.

It will be interesting to see how the two teams seasons wind up. I hope Arkansas lets this serve as a confidence booster/wake up call to strap it on for 4 quarters and not just three. Had that happened, we walk away with a W.

So, one week. I guess when Dallas and Denver play (Super Bowl? Ha Ha) we can do this again.

Feliz Cumpleanos a Jason!!!

31 wonderful years. You are loved, J-lo.
(Who all thinks he should grow his beard like that again? I think it would help him get more patients, for sure. He said he'd do it if we got 10 votes or more on the blog!)

Bush Hog

Here is my dad's "Bush Hog". I think he needs to box these up and sell them. What do you think?

How much is gas where you are?

We went to Fayetteville this weekend and had a great time seeing old friends and spending time with family. The Razorback game was good, but a bit boring at times. One of the things I couldn't believe was how much of a difference the price in gas was from DeQueen to Fayetteville. I got progressively more and more expensive as we drove north. Gas in DeQueen was $2.66/gal and was $3.06/gal in Fayetteville. So how much is it where you live?
